Bio: After an earlier career of applied anthropology in international settings (agricultural development, community development) in SE Asia and the South Pacific, returned to the US. Have mostly worked on issues of environment and social justice in urban and semi-urban settings. Currently a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, where we focus on learning and doing as much as lectures. Current work is on cultural understandings and transformations of watersheds, as well as adaptations to global climate change.
