Bio: Jara Pallas-Brink is a cultural anthropologist with more than 18 years of experience in ethnographic and mixed-methods research. She is the Research and Development Lead at IMPART Alliance at Michigan State University, where she guides projects on care work, workforce development, and community wellbeing. Jara also teaches and consults on a project basis, helping organizations use human-centered research to navigate complex challenges. Her publications include work in EPIC Proceedings, and she earned her PhD in Anthropology at Wayne State University, where her dissertation examined food aid, care, and community resilience. She also mentors emerging researchers in thoughtful qualitative practice.
