The Issue: Practitioners are active in an increasingly wide number of work sectors (e.g., private sector, government, non-profit, medical). These sectors differ – sometimes markedly – from one another in terms of how they relate to, and use, anthropology. Group 3 has been investigating sector-specific characteristics, hiring practices, and necessary skills to inform and guide anthropology graduates seeking work in those areas.

Data/Diagnosis:  This group has conducted 17 interviews with practitioners.  They are in the process of identifying differences across sectors in relation to roles, hiring, and skills.

Insights:  The results are expected to align with those from Group 1.
